We're Not HEAP... But We Can Help!
Kimlin Energy isn't part of the official HEAP program, but we work with customers who depend on it every day. Three Types of Assistance Available
New York State's HEAP program offers three distinct benefit types. Click the links below to go directly to the official state resources for each.
Regular HEAP
Regular HEAP helps income-eligible households pay for heating costs, like fuel, electricity, or wood. It's typically available from November through early spring.
Emergency HEAP
Emergency HEAP is available when you're in danger of running out of fuel or having your utility shut off. If you've received a shutoff notice or are low on propane, fuel oil, or wood, Emergency HEAP might help cover immediate costs.
Heating Assistance
Heating Assistance helps income-eligible households pay for home heating costs like propane and heating oil.
Where to Apply
Applications are handled through your local Department of Social Services. You can apply in several ways, choose whichever is most convenient for you.
