A well-known Hudson Valley family-owned business has just launched a new charitable initiative for 2021, aimed at helping both people and animals in their own backyard.
GARDINER, NEW YORK — Kimlin Energy Services, a third-generation fuel service provider based in Gardiner, New York, is pleased to announce its new program: “Community of Caring”, promoting Hudson Valley organizations that offer care for the most vulnerable of our neighbors, including animals, children, and the economically disadvantaged.
During each month of 2021, Kimlin will focus on sponsoring and promoting a local non-profit organization. Organizations designated for Kimlin support this year will include the Ulster County SPCA, the local chapter of March of Dimes, Family of Woodstock, and Lost Pets of the Hudson Valley. The first organization featured throughout February is the Dutchess County SPCA.
According to Max Kimlin, president of Kimlin Energy Services and grandson of the company’s founder, “Now entering its fourth decade of business, Kimlin owes its ongoing success to our friends and neighbors in the Valley. That’s why we are totally dedicated to giving back to the community.

“Kimlin’s new Community of Caring initiative is the latest way we can say thank you to the Hudson Valley, by helping lift up some great local organizations. Their lifesaving work makes the Hudson Valley a far better place, and they deserve our support!”
Throughout 2021, Kimlin will spotlight several different local non-profit organizations on popular radio station WBPM 92.9FM, a longtime partner. Kimlin will also raise the profile of these groups on social media and in other high-profile consumer media, such as newspaper and website ads and billboards. Promotions will encourage the community to learn more about these organizations, inviting people to consider volunteering and donating.
As the Community of Caring program progresses, Max Kimlin promises to bring additional local groups into the campaign, to promote their crucial humanitarian missions.
This is the latest of ongoing charitable efforts by Kimlin. For several years, Kimlin has underwritten a WBPM radio segment on “Miller in the Morning” called “Miller’s Animal Rescue” that helped find forever homes for scores of homeless and shelter dogs and cats though the Hudson Valley Animal Rescue and Sanctuary organization.
Established in 1982 in Ulster County as a propane company by Douglas Kimlin, Kimlin Energy Services has grown over the years to include propane and heating oil delivery, equipment installation and service, and commercial fuels services. Their service area has grown to include Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Putnam, Greene, Columbia and Sullivan counties.
